The brush tool will draw a selected pattern in the primary color. The pattern can be selected from a list of dithering patterns that are 16x16 pixels in size, or a list of miscellaneous 16, 32 64 pixel patterns. The various patterns include bricks, wood panels, rivet plates, pipes and more.

** Keeping track of brush painting **

The dithering brush set will establish an origin point when the mouse left button is first pressed down and the pattern will repeat while you move the mouse with the left button down, pixels will not overlap or misalign. This behaviour is defined for the dithering brush set only. This is done to allow for easy dithering whilst switching between pattern density.

To draw the pattern in a straight horizontal or vertical line, hold Shift whilst drawing.
